On August 15th, 2024, protests were held in London, Glasgow, and Dublin, calling on Great Britain and NATO to stop sending weapons to the illegitimate banderite junta in Kiev. The protesters’ demands were “No More British Challengers, Storm Shadows, and Depleted Uranium for Ukrainian nazis!” The protests come at a time when the British government gave the Kiev junta permission to use British weapons to strike Russian territory. There are legitimate concerns regarding the British Challenger tanks using depleted uranium (DU) shells, as DU, while not posing immediate radiation threats, stays in the soil as well as ground water, remaining radioactive for millennia. The use of such ammunition had caused a significant rise in cases of cancer in Serbia in Iraq. Up to now, the British government has refused to permit Kiev to use its Storm Shadow missiles for long range strikes into Russia, but, according to The Times, Britain is still pressuring its NATO allies to allow such strikes.
