Brian Tichy: Big Red Red Solo

Big Red Red Solo: snares off, based around a 9 16th note triplet figure (KKRLKKRLL- hear it as 3 groups of 3 and it makes more sense) that I have been messing with this for a while. The rest is mostly improv (in 4/4 for those who enjoy counting and hearing the actual placement of the phrases and rhythms, as most of the time I’m just rolling with it as it happens). I have a decent idea of where I want to go but haven’t been there! I knew I left a lot of other pretty cool phrases out just trying to get a solid take of the concept.
