This one is technically a bit of a bonus since this game doesn't come with the YDKJ Classic Pack (I actually fished this game out of my own personal collection that I originally bought when I got YDKJ 4 The Ride many years ago.) So if you're wondering why this game is loading a bit slower compared to the other YDKJ games, now you know why (it's loading straight off of the CD-Rom). Now then, where to start with this game? Unfortunately for me, I didn't know about an Online Edition of this game (and even an Online: Sports Edition, both hosted by Nate Shapiro and Guy Towers respectively) at the time, so I won't be able to showcase those two games. Offline however, is basically the best of edition of all the questions from the Online Edition, while featuring some recalled questions from previous volumes. As you'd expect from here, Volume 3 was the best YDKJ game at the time of Offline's release, so Offline is pretty much based off of how 3 was played. The only new thing added in here that I can recall of is a special question category called “Pissed About a Question“. This is basically a question based off a previously question asked in the game or something based off of something related to the Online Edition that had to be brought up. You'd probably imagined by now that for obvious reasons, people who made a complaint about a question from the Online Edition describe why they felt the answer shouldn't have been how it was, and then the YDKJ crew make a question based on their complaints. I happen to find this to be an interesting way of recalling feedback towards all the YDKJ fans. Now unless I'm able to find a usable CD-Rom of the 2nd Offline game (YDKJ: Louder, Faster, Funnier), this is probably gonna be the only CD game of YDKJ that I play. I'll also mention that even though YDKJ was strictly a PC game series (at the time), there were two YDKJ games released for the original Playstation: You Don't Know Jack (which is basically a Playstation port of the Volume 3 Edition, with Cookie Masterson, 3-Ways, Impossible Questions and all) and YDKJ: Mock 2 (with Schmitty as the host and as far as I remember, one of the worst versions of a YDKJ game ever, which ranks right up there with Headrush and the YDKJ game we'll be looking at next time.) With that said, enjoy playing YDKJ offline... like we've been doing before? ...Well anyway, enjoy!
