Stapleford Park, Leicestershire. Various shots of miniature trains being cleaned and oiled ready for action. M/S of woman buying ticket from a machine. Station master blows a whistle and one of the miniature steam trains moves off. Various shots of the train travelling through the park. Narrator observes that British Railways could take a hint about modernisation from how this private enterprise is run. Narrator points out the “official train spotter“ Harry, he looks around the corner to check that it is all clear for the train. Various shots of the train taking tourists around the grounds of the stately home. One of the trains is called “Blanche of Lancaster“. Stapleford Park is the home of Lord Gretton (sp?). The train arrives at a lake and the passengers climb aboard a model of the liner Northern Star. Lord Gretton himself takes his guests for a spin around the lake.
