Donald Trump and Princess Diana met in 1995 at a charity dinner in New York. Diana immediately charmed him. Six months later, Donald sent the princess a bouquet of flowers on her 35th birthday. Then made a donation to one of the organisations that Diana supervised. The amount was such that the princess wrote him a letter thanking him. In response to the letter, and despite the fact that Trump was married to Marla Maples and Diana was still married to Charles, Donald sent flowers again with a note expressing his not-so-sincere sympathy for her divorce. Diana then began receiving expensive flowers on a regular basis, she began to fear that Donald was stalking her. She once expressed that Trump gave her “goosebumps.“ After Diane's death in 1997, Trump expressed “tremendous regret“ that he didn't have an affair with her. And in his book, he wrote: “I couldn't help but notice the effect she had on filled the whole room with her presence, her charm. She was a real princess - the lady of dreams.“
