Saturday the Pittsburgh Penguins traveled to Boston to match up against the Bruins. Looking to take control early, the Penguins kept possession in their offensive zone. The ice was tilted in the Penguin's favor. The 1st ended scoreless despite many high-level scoring chances. Heading into the second, Pittsburgh was unable to generate anything before the Bruins took all the momentum. David Pastrnak scored first for the Bruins, his fortieth of the season. Pavel Zacha scored the Bruin’s second goal on the power play. Before the end of the 2nd, Brad Marchand scored the third goal for Boston to make the score 3-0. The Penguins responded early in the 3rd with a goal from Kris Letang. Sidney Crosby won the offensive zone faceoff back to Letang at the point. With a slapshot, Letang beat the goaltender and found the back of the net. The Bruins followed with two goals of their own from Jake DeBrusk and Zacha’s second of the game.
