On the road, he can get hit by a rockfall or mudflow. ‘Right before us—about 3 or 4 metres ahead—an avalanche occurred,’ Musakay says. The man recently had a daughter. Now the family needs more money; the teacher’s modest salary is not enough. Friends advise Musakay to quit his job and find another one in the city – more profitable and comfortable.
