NEW: CBP has alerted Border Patrol that there could be escalated violence and blowback from cartel members as a result of “El Mayo’s” arrest yesterday. The internal intelligence alert regarding officer safety says, “Previous high level Sinaloa Cartel arrests have initiated waves of violence in Sinaloa controlled plazas. Additionally, cartels have shown the willingness to act out and retaliate when senior level leadership were threatened or arrested.
