Marilyn Monroe was a Princess of the Silver Screen. When the Cinema first saw Norma Jeane in 1949, there had been nothing like her prior. She had a 'new' unique look, and an expressive personality. Marilyn was shafted by the industry; they would only give her co-starring roles of 'blonde bimbos'. But Marilyn created something out of that character role, and it became a 'hit'. Her image started catching on, and by 1953, Marilyn became a household name. She is an original. Often imitated, but never duplicated, Marilyn Monroe portayed 'Marilyn' best. There is only one Marilyn. Marilyn's advice to young women was “just be yourself“. Despite being occasionally compared to the demure, sophisticated Jean Harlow, Marilyn stayed true to herself. She was silly, a bit eccentric and free-spirited. Film Highlights: 1949 Ladies of the Chorus 1950 Love Happy 1950 The Asphalt Jungle 1950 All About Eve 1952 Monkey Business 1952 We're Not Married
