CORRECTION: the third chord in measures 1,2,3,4, and 8 should include an F and a G below middle C. This makes the chord identical to the first chord of the song, but played one octave lower. I do not hear these extra notes played in measure 7. My best attempt at transcribing Ray's playing on the melody of Rockhouse. During the first chorus I sometimes hear a low F played in the right hand on the G7 chords. It's possible that Ray played the low F, but I think it's more likely that the note is some kind of overtone or artifact produced by the recording equipment/process used during the recording session. The chords of the second chorus are difficult to hear because the horns are playing at the same time, so I used my best judgment to try to guess what the piano is playing. I think Ray made a lot of mistakes in the third chorus, because the chord voicings used in the riff are inconsistent and there is an abundance of instances where individual voices drop out or are added, as well as some voicings that are strange to use in this musical context. It's also possible that I made a lot of mistakes during the third chorus, so what is written might be inaccurate. In the future I will probably make a video of what I thought Ray was trying to play in the third chorus, but was unable to play during the recording because of the fast speed that he needed to play the block chords.
