Soyuz MS-19 launches Russian film crew to shoot movie in space

Spectacular launch footage of the #SoyuzMS19 launch! Looks almost like a professional film crew is involved! ;-) Russia launches film crew aboard Souyz MS-19 spacecraft to shoot movie on space station. The launch took place at Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at 4:55AM EDT on Oct 06, 2021. Cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov, actress Yulia Peresild and director-actor Klim Shipenko are on their way to the International Space Station. The Soyuz MS-19 spacecraft will make a fast-track, two-orbit journey to dock to the International Space Station’s Rassvet module, orbiting Earth at an altitude of around 220 miles (354km). For both Peresild and Shipenko, this is their first flights into space. They will spend 12 days on the space station, filming segments for a movie titled “Challenge,” a joint production of the Moscow-based film studio Yellow, Black and White, Russia's Channel One and Roscosmos, the nation's federal space agency. #SoyuzMS19 #Soyuz #ISS Voiceover: Vikram Barhat Credit: ROSCOSMOS/NASA
