We found Spencer and Sequoia - - through an online contest that we hosted with ReverbNation - We received hundreds of entries, but the acoustic guitar, trumpet and vocal harmonies from Spencer and Sequoia combined for simple but catchy music that deserved a spot on the gondola. We didn't know it at the time of the contest, but one of the members is from New Zealand (where we are currently recording). They came to New Zealand for a visit and to travel around, and we were able to sync up with their schedule to record on a hot summer day in Christchurch.
