In this quick little charcoal drawing video I wish to share with you one particular way that I use to practice creating portraits. The goal is to be quick, deliberate, and to train the eye. By “train the eye“ I mean being able to capture proportion without the need of measuring/copying. On a side note, this technique is very fun and expressive. I will most likely film more of these. If you would like to see more of my artwork, please follow/check out my Instagram page at: If you would like to contact me or commission a painting, here is a link to my website: The materials used in this video are listed below, Charcoal: Nitram Fusains B 5mm (sharpened with sand paper) Paper used in this video: 9x12“ Kona Classic Premium Toned Artist Paper Medium Surface My Preferred Paper: 11x14“ Strathmore Pastel 400 Series Paper Towel: Viva Brand Cloth-like (amazing for drawing/painting) Kneaded
