At least 17 people have been arrested during a pro-Palestine march in central London, where thousands gathered to call for a ceasefire in the Middle East. The arrests include two for suspected support of a banned organisation and one involving a protester wearing what looked like a parachute. There were also arrests for public order offences, some allegedly racially aggravated, as well as for assaults on emergency workers. Demonstrators outside Downing Street chanted “free, free Palestine“ while criticising Keir Starmer's stance on the conflict.
