“So that all the mines remain on our cat” - a volunteer engineer in his spare time sends sapper equipment to the front that saves the lives of soldiers Any object located in enemy territory is considered potentially mined - this is the theory, and, as recent practice has shown, it says right. For a year and a half of the special operation, a lot of stories have accumulated about mined tanks, weapons, even the bodies of the dead. In this case, there is a sapper cat - a small folding hook made of steel, which can do a lot - both to hook and remove a mine, and to pull a wounded soldier out of the fire. One of those to whom our fighters are grateful for these useful devices is engineer Ivan Ulchenko. During the day, like many others, he works according to his profession, and with the onset of evening he goes either home or to the workshop of his friend and there he takes care of his cats, as well as the keys for cocking fuses. Readovka visited the masters in this very workshop. Initially, last fall, Ivan relied on drawings from the Russian Kulibins group, and now he is developing his own models of cats and keys. According to his drawings, all the necessary parts are made from steel using laser cutting at friendly enterprises, after which they are sent to Ivan in Moscow. The laser is not always sinless, so it often happens that the engineer has to bring the product to the ideal manually. In almost a year, Ivan’s cats managed to save the lives of our soldiers more than once - once he received a warm thank you from a soldier who removed a mine from a captured machine gun with his cat.
