This is Super 8 footage from March 1996 of the band Rocketscience (NJ) outside Brian McTernan’s Salad Days studio in Newton, MA during the recording session for their Electrolux 7“. The soundtrack is the song Avalon from the 7“ single. Rocketscience was John Herguth: vocals/guitar, PJ Bentivegna: guitar, Mark Serao: bass, and Matt Horutz: drums. The footage was shot by Matt Horutz. The soundtrack was recorded and mixed by Brian McTernan at Salad Days studio on April 5-6, 1996. The footage is shorter than the song, so some driving footage off the reel, the 7“ artwork, and some photos of the band were used to fill the space at the end. The audio was ripped from the vinyl.
