The 3-Line rifle Model 1891, commonly referred to as the Mosin-Nagant, was adopted by the Russian Empire in 1891. In 1930 a new variant was standardized and adopted as the M1891/30. It is a turn bolt rifle chambered for the cartridge and saw service through WWII and well beyond. This is the most prolific variant of the M1891 and millions were produced.
