Today, modern fishing equipment gives sport fishermen a significant advantage in the pursuit of fish. Despite having many years of experience catching fish with a modern rod and reel, I have struggled to catch fish using primitive methods. I’ve tried a primitive fish trap and I even made hooks out of cactus thorns to try and catch the elusive fish. Through trial and error I am finally learning to improve my odds in the ancient techniques of catching fish.
