PRIVILEGE at SLS DUBAI Lighting Design: Alex Douglas Sound Design: Andrew Williams Mapping MADRIX: Donnie Lukban de Dios MADRIX 5 professional MADRIX LUNA 8 ------------------------------------------------------- Em-Tec: Em-Tec delivers and installs AV to the highest nightclub in the world! Located in the heart of Business Bay, Dubai, Privilege club, opened its doors in December 2021 and has quickly earned a reputation for being one of the most spectacular nightclubs in the UAE. Welcoming many high-profile artists such as , Akon and Satori. The client brief was a “best in class club with an exceptional sounding and visual experience” For the sound we installed Funktion-One speakers to deliver an unrivalled crystal-clear audio sound and for lighting we added additional lighting to their current offering. When Privilege first opened, the lighting designed consisted of a range of Chauvet fixtures that consisted of: 16x Rogue R1 BeamWash 8x Intimidator Hybrid 140SR 19 8x Rogue R1 FX-B 8x Rogue R1 BeamWash 10x Strike 4 6x ColorRado 2 Quad Tour 4x Amhaze Whisper Em-Tec installed additional 7x Prolights Arena Cob ArenaCob 4FC, 5x Air 5Fan along with a Art-Net Node to network in all the lighting fixtures to the new ChamSys MagicQ MQ70. Along with this, Em-Tec stripped out the existing static RGB LED strips from the LED Chandelier structure and replacing it with 60x RGB LED Strip B-6021-5SL which goes through 24x DMX512-RDMR6 decoders, 1x MADRIX LUNA 8 which then is all controlled by the MADRIX 5 professional. Using these existing and new lighting fixtures, Alex Douglas designed a immersive club design then through my programming skills, Alex was able to deliver a wide range of visually impressive looks to the client. Alex achieved this by programming the LED chandelier using MADRIX, a powerful and flexible software that allowed you to create complex lighting effects with ease. Alex also used the ChamSys console to program and control the lighting, giving me precise control over every aspect of the show. My ability to seamlessly integrate these two technologies allowed me to create stunning visual displays that captivated the guests and left a lasting impression on the client.
