In the 2250s, alien insurgents opposed to the Terran Empire established a camouflaged base in the northern hemisphere of this planet. Before its location was discovered by Imperial Intelligence, the base, for two years, coordinated the rebellion against the Empire. This base, along with a wide expanse of the planet's surface, was devastated by an orbital bombardment from the Imperial Flagship.
