The brief, but striking aria ‘Initium sapentiae timor Domini’ comes from the motet ‘Confitebor tibi, Domine’ by Nicola Fago, a Baroque composer of the Neapolitan School. Its words are based on Psalm 111. The aria appears on the album ANIMA SACRA, which introduces both countertenor Jakub Józef Orliński and eight pieces of music that have never before been recorded. The Sunday Times wrote of “the unearthly beauty of Orliński’s tone, his pearly coloratura and fabulous breath control,” saying, “This is a special voice to look out for.” ________ Warner Classics ► Website: Subscribe to our: ► YT- Channel: ► Newsletter Follow us on: ► Facebook: ► Instagram: ► Twitter: ► YouTub
