I've seen many beach simulation so I tried to made one and get good water/whitewater. This time with WET-MAP :-) Previous version is here : Scene is quite simple, a cylinder with a displaced modifier is moving up and down with a driver. The whitewater particules are rendered with Geometry node and there is a random point size one some of them. The new thing is the wet maps. They have been applied to the sand and to the rocks. The fluid is the brush and the sand and rocks are canvas. You just need to create a proper UV-map for your object (I've not bothered with that and just did a sphere projection for the rocks). In order to pick better settings for the wet maps, I've created a template file attached below to chose the proper settings and timings (drip, dry, spread, disolve, shrink).
