Soviet Vibe. Cyberpunk Style🤖 ________________________ According to the plot, the main characters are trying to leave Mars and reach Earth. They head to a space railway station to buy tickets at the ticket window. There, they are greeted by a typical post-Soviet cashier, but in the form of a hologram. She informs them that there are no tickets, there won't be any, and she doesn't print them, by the way :D This is one of my favorite concept arts for the 'Kiberderevnya' series. Initially, the brief required me to develop a low-resolution screen that would only display eyes and a mouth. But after I showed the first sketches to the team, they found the original idea not interesting enough. We wanted to create a more memorable and meme-worthy concept. In one of my early sketches, I jokingly depicted the “grandma“ from the VID television company intro, and perhaps this inspired the director to change the initial idea. We began exploring the idea of a holographic portrait of a female cashier. In the end, a holographic cashier's head in a Soviet cyberpunk style was approved and included in the series. One of the challenges was integrating the concept into an already filmed scene with an authentic railway ticket window featuring a familiar grille. We wanted to keep this recognizable element while ensuring it didn't obscure the cashier. In the end, a version with fewer bars on the grille was chosen, retaining the frame and giving the scene a more recognizable look, characteristic of Soviet and post-Soviet architecture. 'Kiberderevnya' is a sci-fi comedy series based on videos from the YouTube channel Birchpunk. The storyline of the videos and the series revolves around the life of a farmer named Nikolai, living in the year 2100 on Mars. The project portrays a typical Russian village or other realities but in a cyberpunk style. @birchpunk
