In this video, you will learn how to import X, Y and Z coordinates to AutoCAD as points from Microsoft Excel. For this tutorial, we are using an example dataset which consists of more than 100,00 rows of data. Each row consists of longitude, latitude and elevation information. Prior to importing the dataset to AutoCAD, it is required to save the dataset as a CSV (comma separated value) file using Microsoft Excel, which can then be opened using a text editor like Notepad. We are using MULTIPLE and POINT commands of AutoCAD to prepare the AutoCAD Script (.SCR) file. Once the script file is created, you will be able to use the SCR command in AutoCAD to run the aforementioned script file, and in no time, you would be able to import the data into AutoCAD as a point dataset. You can double click your scroll wheel to swiftly zoom into the extents of the point objects, and if you would like to inspect the points individually, you can right click on any point, go to properties, and you
