The Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO) is an American rock band that was formed in 1996 by composer, producer, and lyricist Paul O'Neill. The group is known for their unique blend of rock, classical, and symphonic elements, often referred to as “symphonic rock“ or “orchestral rock.“ They have achieved significant success with their annual holiday-themed rock operas and extensive theatrical live performances. The Trans-Siberian Orchestra gained widespread recognition with their debut album, “Christmas Eve and Other Stories,“ released in 1996. The album features a fusion of traditional Christmas music with elements of rock, metal, and orchestral arrangements.
