This kit features the Soviet AC-40-137A fire truck (which has also been released as a separate kit), plus four Chernobyl firefighter figures. ICM also include a cardboard backdrop with artwork of the Chernobyl reactor four. The Chernobyl nuclear accident happened on Saturday 26th April 1986. A botched test and an inherent flaw in the Soviet RBMK nuclear reactor design caused a nuclear chain reaction which blew the roof off reactor 4. The resultant fire and exposed core released huge amounts of radioactive contamination. Firefighters from Chernobyl and Pripyat were the first to respond, and were exposed to huge doses of radiation.
