It also follows a blasting crew through the various stages of underground blasting, including preparation of a proper blast plan, while describing the specific safety practices that must be observed at each step -- drilling, loading, detonation, and post-blast examination. The film opens with a scenario of two miners, one in a drill car, and the other neglecting procedure and telling the driller to drill, causing an explosion (0:50 Graphic).
