This was the moment a decommissioned thermal power plant took its final bow in Zhengzhou, China. Closed in 2019 after more than 65 years, the plant was demolished using explosives, creating the surreal spectacle of all the cooling towers collapsing in sync, as spectators looked on. Authorities now plan to build a mix of residential and industrial neighborhoods in its place.
