Matt Richards slotted home to put Walsall ahead, but Town's Steve McNulty missed a penalty after Richard Taundry felled Ian Craney in the box. Craney was then the victim of a reckless two-footed challenge by Ryan McGivern that earned him a red card. Jamie Mullan's looping 20-yard strike drew Fleetwood level, but Walker made a string of late saves to force a replay.
