Gov. Brian Kemp expected to announce Rivian plant in Georgia

The governor is making an announcement at 4 p.m. It is expected he will announce a $5 billion plant coming to Georgia by electric truck maker Rivian, the much-hyped automaker that last month produced the largest initial public offering in the world this year. The new Rivian plant is expected to be located east of Atlanta, with a site near Covington having been previously eyed by the company. It will reportedly bring 7,500 new jobs to metro Atlanta.
