Alexander Ivanov-Kramskoi (1912 – 1973) was the Russian superb 6-string guitar virtuoso as well as great guitar composer. He was the author of a number of compositions, among which are two concertos for the guitar and the symphony orchestra, numerous miniatures and arrangements. In this archive recording he performed his own “Variations on the theme of russian folk song - U vorot, vorot“.
