But the story behind the song’s prevalence is a little more complicated than the alt-soul singer cashing in on viral fame. Initially, Brooklyn rapper Sleepy Hollow sampled her airy hook - “I’m about to go off the deep end” - without giving credit to this former contestant on 'The Voice.' Frustratingly for Fousheé, that version blew up. Undeterred, she fought to make the best of the situation, working with TikTok to eventually get her name on Sleepy Hollow’s song.
