Most people in Mali's Massina region lack cars, relying on minibuses, pickups, and animal-drawn carts. Market days are chaotic, with overloaded and unsafe vehicles on treacherous, pothole-filled roads. Sekou N’diayé and Diadjé Maiga, long-time truck drivers, embrace the uncertainty and challenges of their job, finding freedom in the savannah despite the harsh conditions.
