A Major X-Class Solar Flare was unleashed off the solar corona from Active Region 13576 on February 16. The Flare peaked to X2.5 at 06:53 UTC the eruption took place as this active region was rotating off the earth-facing side of the disk therefore no earth directed component of the resulting strong (CME) Coronal Mass Ejection and no geomagnetic storms is expected from todays blast.
