The Israeli newspaper Haaretz has confirmed the Israeli Defense Force’s application of the “Hannibal Directive” during the October 7th attacks, meaning that no one — Hamas militants, Israeli soldiers or civilians — should be allowed to depart Israel for Gaza. Essentially, the directive states that everyone is a target, instructing Israeli soldiers to shoot Israeli civilians. Jimmy speaks with The Grayzone’s Max Blumenthal about how he and his outlet were smeared as “manipulators” when they reported in 2023 about the IDF and the Hannibal Directive.
