The USSR's Joseph Stalin was no different - in the early 1930s the Soviet Union had great plans for Moscow. From building the tallest building in the world with a giant statue of Lenin on top to completely destroying the Red Square and changing Moscow's name in honor of Stalin. Most of these plans never came to life due to the start of World War II.
