What if you have difficulty swallowing your food or any liquids? I got you. In this video we will be doing exercises to improve your ability to swallow your food and liquids, opening and closing youe mouth And even ability to articulate words. Please see your doctor to find out what is causing the difficulty of swallowing. If you have done that then you can do the exercises that we are going to do today to improve your swallowing, decrease drooling, and ability to open and close your mouth. If you have this problem then you are at risk of aspirating which will again send you back to the hospital. So it is necessary to address your swallowing problems. Opening the mouth - Open your mouth as wide as possible and holding it for 10 seconds do this three times. Pucker your lips - Protrude your lips like you are about to kiss and hold it for 10 seconds and repeat this three times. Cheek sucking- Protrude your lips just like puckering it and suck your cheeks in words and hold it for 10 seconds three times. Smacking - Bring your lips in words. And hold it for 10 seconds three times. Sticking your tongue out - Stick your tongue out as far as you can 10 times. Tongue up- Stick your tongue out and bring it up to watch your nose 10 times Tongue down - Stick your tongue out and bring it down to your chin 10 times Tongue side to side- Stick your tongue out and bring it side to side 10 times.
