I’ve made a set of bespoke custom exhaust manifolds for a Subaru Outback with a 3.6 liter 6-cylinder boxer engine. They’re made from AISI 304 grade stainless steel, with tubing 42.4 mm in diameter and 2 mm in wall thickness. These are all-motor headers. Each runner is 600 mm long, which is as long as you can make them given the stock exhaust configuration with flame arresters and catalytic converters in place.
