On September 2, a plane of the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) took 15 seriously ill citizens of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics to Moscow from Rostov-on-Don. 14 of them are children. All of them need urgent professional and high-tech medical assistance which is not available at Donbass medical establishments due to the war. The Il-76 EMERCOM’s plane has modern medical equipment and special medical modules which allow personnel to control the patients’ condition and provide them with the necessary medical assistance during the flight. The Donbass residents were accompanied by medical personnel from the emergencies ministry’s Centrospas unit and health ministry’s disaster medicine center, and also psychologists. Two children with heart disease will undergo treatment in St Petersburg. The other 12 children and a man will receive treatment at different medical institutions in Moscow. Source:
