You can watch the original video here (copy the link to your browser and REMOVE the empty space in the web address after “https“): https :// The copyright system of Youtube... exists. The rights of artists must obviously be cared for but Youtube's system sucks SO BAD. This is my SIXTH upload attempt. Urgh. I personally can not understand why a publisher/record label would block videos that are not monetized? They would get money by way of royalties, and exposure for their artists - different kinds of remixes attract new audiences... Well, it is what it is I guess. ** February 14th, 2024. “My frustration grows....“ What a kick in the balls. I worked my ass off wanting to do justice to these amazing songs just to have the video totally blocked on Youtube. So I'll try this way... I wonder how so many others manage to upload various versions of “Precious“ without any problems..? Well, anyway, let's try this. Rant over. ;D ** February 13th, 2024. “The age of innocence“ This is something prec--- well, special. =D I've always kinda liked “Precious“ but for some reason the song just never really clicked, you know? It's a brilliant little pop song but... You know. BUT in the process of making this mash-up I ended up LOVING it. The vocal arrangement with Dave's silky, magical voice... Perfection. And of course “Black Celebration“ is one of _those_ songs for me, forever transforming my taste in music and affecting me deeply as a young person. So making this mash-up was something truly special and I also wanted to make the video special so it took - a - lot - of - time. But I think the (ORIGINAL) video is equally both hilarious and beautiful, so not a bad way to spend two days. Obviously the video contains awesome art by Anton Corbijn and Uwe Flade. Respect! Also I have to say I initially kind of hated the music video for “Precious“. Stupid glowing alien fish... And also the visuals imo were just somehow “not“ Depeche. But I found I also had found a new appreciation for the ethereal visuals although I still don't think the video is worthy of the song. But maybe that's just me. Anyways - hope you love this mash-up! More to come...
