ZX Spectrum Longplay 158 Short Circuit

Played by: Mad-Matt Spectrum 128k Short Circuit based on the movie of the same name released by Ocean Software in 1987 The game is split in to two parts the first being a puzzle game where you need to find items and use or take them to the right place. You are working against the clock to escape nova labs. There is a security droid also roaming around and jumps to different rooms each minute. You only get one life so its game over if the droid gets you and it moves real fast. The second part is supposed to be a short arcade sequence to escape the nova security droids but this section of the game was not completed so it does not end until you run out of energy. Hitting rocks resets you position which isn't so bad. Hurting the animals, killing the soldiers and even destroying the other robots causes energy loss. You are essentially just playing for score. Of course ocean saw fit to release the game anyway as even back then bad or broken games would still make their money back. - Disclaimer: Most videos by World of Longplays use SaveStates!
