My Alexi Laiho/Children of Bodom tribute song “The Shores of Bodom“ 00:00 Intro 00:33 Verse 00:50 Orchestra hit Section 01:00 Guitar Key Lead 1 01:26 Bells Riff 01:43 Guitar Key Lead 2 02:00 Guitar Solo 1 02:18 Guitar Solo 2 02:31 Guitar Solo 3 Guitar/Key Dual Lead 02:45 Totally not Kissing the Shadows So how did this come about? I'm a huge Alexi Laiho as I'm sure you all know from my Bodom covers and T-shirt collection. I saw them nearly 10 times and Hatebreeder Follow the Reaper will always be two of my favourite albums. I often find a write a riff or lead that is too Bodom(or even Sinergy) sounding so I don't use it in my own music. Before I knew it I had the foundations of a song. It came together quite easy once I was set on the idea of a tribute track, instead of making a verse/chorus song I wanted to have it constantly changing but there are a few recurrent melodies throughout the song. I'm curious to see who can pick up on the many Bodom song references. I've attached the guitar pro tab below if anyone wants to learn it or really analyse it. The icing on the cake was getting Janne's studio patches. A huge thanks to ... for running my midi files through his Integra-7 and really bringing this to life and thanks so much to Ernunymous for his artwork. ♫ Guitar? Gear? Setup?
