Anti-Israel protests erupt at Columbia University, New York City Demonstrators at Columbia University have spent days protesting Israel’s war with Hamas, resulting in the arrest of more than 100 students and the school’s president switching all classes to virtual learning amid security concerns, Fox News reported. Dozens of protesters called on the university to divest from companies with ties to Israel. The demonstrators set up camping tents and remained on the school grounds despite orders to leave. The New York Police Department said that 108 people who disobeyed orders to leave the encampment were taken into custody and received summonses for illegal entry into the area, according to Fox News.
