NOTE: One of the MOST important advantage of wet scanning over dry is the ability of wet scanning to suppress light scratches and abrasion wear on negatives. The liquid matches the index of refraction of the film and essentially “fills in” for the scratch, which would normally scatter the projection light illuminating the negative. THANK YOU to Stephen Somerstein for emailing me about this. ^ -- In a previous video, I showed the process of wet mount scanning film. In this video, we'll compare a dry scan, wet mount scan, and wet mount on a wet mount holder. Which is the best?
