Frangiskos Leontaritis (1518-1572) was a Rennaisance greek composer. Born in Crete, he moved to Venice and become a famous polyphonic music composer. After his death (1572) he was still famous until the 17th century when he was completely forgoten. He become famous again at 1980 when they found his works and facts about his life. Leontaritis composed three masses and twenty one moteti, madrigali and napolitani in Latin for the Christian Catholic Church. This is a motet named “O Rex Gloriae“ (King of Glory)
