HUNDREDS of protesters gathered in London on Monday (October 9) following the unprecedented terror attacks by Hamas forces. Waving Palestinian flags and chanting slogans such as: “we will not be silenced,“ protesters said the people of Palestine are the ones paying the “highest price“ for a conflict that has been ongoing for decades. Hamas is a terrorist group which rules the Gaza strip and came into being in 1987. Its name is an Arabic acronym for the Islamic Resistance Movement. Hamas as a whole, or in some cases its military wing, is designated a terrorist group by Israel, the US, the EU, and the UK, as well as other powers. Over the years, Hamas has carried out a number of attacks in Israel. Israel was stunned when Hamas launched its multi-pronged offensive on Saturday - with at least 3,000 rockets raining down as fighters infiltrated towns and stormed a music festival. Continue reading:
