The White-Haired Girl Composer: Zhang Ke, Ma Lu, Qu Wei, Li Huanzhi, Xiangyu Arrangement: Chen Xieyang, Li Wenping Conductor: Chen Xieyang The White-Haired Girl was inspired by the folklore story in the outskirt of Jin-Cha-Ji Region. The heroine Xi’er suffered from persecution of the old society and her hair turned white, making her known as the “white-haired girl“. In 1945, the Yan'an Lu Xun College of Artfirst made the story into an opera with the script written by He Jingzhi and Ding Yi.
