Formed in 1969 by the guitarist Leslie West and bassist/producer Felix Pappalardi, became one of the highest grossing rock acts on the music scene between the years 1969 and 1972. One of the bands earliest gigs was at the legendary Woodstock Festival. Shortly afterwards Canadian drummer Corky Laing joined the band where he has remained ever since.
