- Walking on Jeongdong-gil, Seoul, Korea

Jeongdong-gil is a one-kilometer street that starts from Daehanmun Gate, the main gate of Deoksugung Palace, and connects to Sinmun-ro. In 1999, it was designated as the first “Beautiful Street for Walking” by the city of Seoul. Modern buildings built with red bricks, such as Ewha Girls’ High School and Chungdong First Methodist Church, and old trees harmonize with each other along the street. Jeongdong Park and Baejae Park, which are used as places of relaxation by citizens, are located near Jeongdong-gil.
