Lockheed Martin’s F-35 finally lived up to its star billing at the 2016 Farnborough International Airshow. It raised the curtain on the event, flying in formation with a KC-130J tanker to demonstrate inflight refueling capability. Then it thrilled the crowd with a show-stopping encore that show it’s speed, agility and, to everyone’s delight, the hover feature that makes this F-35B model the true successor to the venerable Harrier jump jet.
